Soccer Tournament
On October 2nd, the first and second grade took part in a soccer tournament! They played with a variety of soccer teams from the Kanagawa area. The students learned about sportsmanship, teamwork and the concept of losing. It was a wonderful day. Thank you to all the supporters that came to support us!
We represented the Japan team!
After every game, we shook hands with the opposing team. We learned that regardless of losing, we still acknowledge others.
“ Its not fair, the other team pushed us!” complained several children. We learned that though we think it’s not fair, the referee is the person who makes the final decision.
We used our social skills by taking turns and sharing playing time!
“Fun is the Number 1" attitude. If everyone is having fun, it’ll make learning all aspects of the game more enjoyable and rewarding
Winning is not always the main focus!”
