Inquiry: Life Cycle of Plants

Today the first and second graders collected seeds from seed pods to use for our planting experiment. In the process , The students observed a variety of things : seeds come in different sizes there are 6-10 seeds in one pod in a pod the peas are connected so it doesn’t move around an easy way to remove peas from the pod, peel the stringy fiber from the seam, pry the pod open, and run your thumb along the interior to detach the peasWe can’t wait to continue exploring the amazing life of plants!
