Discovering Our Local Community’s Past: First and Second Graders Visit Gorei Shrine

Our first and second graders have started an exciting unit on Where We Are in Place and Time, exploring our local community’s history through artifacts. The students used maps to navigate their way to Gorei Shrine, where they sketched artifacts and met Mr. Mitsuhashi, the shrine’s caretaker. He shared fascinating insights, sparking curiosity and questions about the past.
