learning beyond the classroom!

At SIS, our community is considered part of the school curriculum.

In kindergarten, we often go for walks to meet and talk with neighbors, teaching us social skills. During seasonal changes we go for walks to see how the floras have changed, teaching us science. During our 8 week inquiry units, we often invite guests from our community, teaching us research skills.
