Exploring Light and International-Mindedness in Kuttygram, India

As part of our light inquiry, students explored images of children in Kuttygram, India, who study by candlelight due to limited electricity. This experience fostered international-mindedness, as they reflected on how communities adapt to challenges.

Students noted, “we would be bumping into things and it would be difficult to go to the toilet.” 🚪🔦 These insights connected them with the IB Learner Profile attributes of empathy and open-mindedness, inspiring them to consider how they can make a positive impact as globally-minded individuals. 💡🌍✨
