Language Policy

The primary classroom language at SIS will be English. However, we understand that there will be a difference in language abilities and experiences. Therefore for students who are beginning their journey as English learners, the teachers will work specifically on their curiosity and motivation for the new language. At SIS we believe this is the essential stage to becoming life long learners of a new language. Please be aware that our program does not only focus on grammar and conventions of language but all three domains of learning–these are cognitive (skills and knowledge), affective (emotional stability) and psychomotor (the act of doing and reflection).
