This year, the students have put a tremendous amount of effort looking after their rice! It took us approximately 190 days until our rice was ready to be served as food. With the help of local farmers, we were able to revisit the skills and strategies needed to look after the plants, but also understand important environmental concepts such as sustainable growing methods to grow crops. At SIS, nature studies provide us with the opportunity to learn food knowledge through collaborative and experiential learning. Here is a glimpse of what nature studies looked like in 2018-2019!
