SIS Students students will be taking part in their annual 12 K marathon run! The students have been working for the last 2 months preparing for this big day!
As teachers, we hope that training for a marathon will not only put students on path to healthier lives but help increase students in their coping skills and mental toughness. Some of things that our students have been experiencing throughout the preparation process is dealing with stomach aches, leg cramps, rain and wardrobe malfunctions. Through training, students are learning to deal with them, willing themselves to finish a long run even when the circumstances aren't ideal. Just like life, unexpected things will happen during our run and students are learning to confidently handle these situations with inventive thought, quick understanding and keen intelligence!
