This summer the middle school students will challenge a week out in the wilderness. There are no modern convinces as they learn, build, adapt, and survive!  

A list of the practical skills and applications for wilderness skills are: • leave no trace • backpacking • preventing attacks from wild boars • survival shelters – modern and primitive • water – locate, treatment and filtering techniques • fire – modern and primitive friction fire • wild food – plant, insect, and animal • wild plant – medicinal and utilitarian • navigation – map & compass • animal tracking and nature observation • conservation – practices and application This one-week summer adventure will inspire teens with confidence, self-reliance, awareness, and increase leadership qualities.
