The first atomic bomb used in the history of humankind exploded approximately

600 meter above this spot, carried to Hiroshima from Tinian Island by the Enola Gay, a U.S. Army B-29 bomber. This area of the city was exposed to temperatures of approximately 3000 to 4000 degrees °C, as well as a blast wind and radiation. Most peoole in the area lost their lives instantly. The time was 8:15 a.m. August 6, 1945.
